Emergency Plan
The Portland Harbour Emergency Plan was introduced in September 2000. The plan sets out the measures to be taken when dealing with incidents/emergencies arising within the port area. While specifically written to satisfy the requirements of the Dangerous Substances in Harbour Areas Regulations 1987 the plan is designed to provide a framework for dealing with all emergencies that may occur within Portland Harbour & its dock estate. The Emergency Plan is also designed to be implemented in whole or part depending on the scale of the emergency.
