Berths and Anchorages
Portland Port has extensive anchorages and alongside berths making it very suitable for a wider range of vessels. The port has more than 2000m of alongside berths to accommodate ships of 250m+ LOA and 11.5m draft.
There are 6 designated anchorages in the outer harbour offering depths of 20m plus 10 main designated anchorages within the inner harbour accommodating ships with as much as 12m draft.
