Port Security
Port security operates 24hours a day, seven days a week. The main gate security barrier system restricts access to the Port and a system of car, personnel and visitor permits & passes is in operation with random vehicle searches conducted. The Port Estate is also monitored day and night by regular mobile patrols.
The Port also boasts it own Police Force, officially the country’s smallest, with trained and appointed Special Constables who have powers of arrest.
In addition to these measures the Port can also provide specialised services, in partnership with an approved specialist security company. These services include high profile vessel security, both on-board and on-shore as well as close protection services should these be required.
