This is an exciting opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and gain practical experience within the cruise and commercial team at Portland Port.
The apprentice will support the planning and coordination of our cruise ship calls, marketing activity, visitor information, customer and stakeholder liaison, research and general commercial administration.
They will also study to gain professional knowledge and skills through Coastland College on Business Administrator (level 3) course.
No two days will be exactly the same in this role. The apprentice will work alongside the cruise team and wider commercial team, gradually taking on greater responsibility as their knowledge, skills and confidence develop.
Our cruise business continues to goes from to strength, with more than 50 separate calls this year carrying over 100,000 passengers – injecting circa £10m into the local economy.
