The commercial team at Portland Port is responsible for the development of all cargo operations as well as securing long term business for the port. The ports unique position on the South Coast and in the centre of a vast agricultural landscape mean that its close proximity to the English Channel and continental Europe makes it an attractive proposition to a variety of agricultural business.
In addition to this Portland Port is continuing to develop its capabilities in handling hazardous cargoes the ports stevedores are well experience in aspects in handling this cargo including loading, discharging, packing and stuffing.
